Q: Are you licensed State to State moving company?
A: Yes: we are a registered Household Goods Carrier under US Department of Transportation
Q: What areas do you service?
A: We are headquartered in Connecticut, and can service literally any area North East, ranging from Connecticut, Massachusetts, Vermont, New Hampshire, and Main, to Florida, California, Oregon, Washington, Texas... and every point in between.
Q: Do you offer storage?
A: we offer limited short term storage in transit (up to 30 days)
Q: How long does the average move take?
A: Figuring this out requires a free estimate... there is no such thing as an average move. Whether it’s a simple studio apartment, a downtown condominium with a busy load zone and an old slow elevator, or a large 5-bedroom ranch home, the time depends not only on the size of your home and the amount of “stuff” you have collected over the years, it also greatly depends on how much you’re willing (or able) to pack, sort through clutter, disassemble, and prepare in advance.
Q: How do you charge for moving services?
A: We offer weight-based rates, cubic feet-based rates and Fixed prices with a binding estimate
Q: What forms of payment do you accept?
A: Cash, postal service money orders, Zella or Quick pay
Q: Do I tip the movers?
A: While a tip is not mandatory, if our crew does an outstanding job, they certainly do appreciate it!
Q: What is your cancellation policy?
A: If you must cancel or reschedule your move, please contact our office as soon as possible. Unlike other moving companies, we do NOT charge a cancellation fee... which means we rely on your integrity and timeliness if you need to make a change.
Q: What day of the week is best for scheduling?
A: Earlier in the week (Mondays, Tuesdays and sometimes Wednesdays) is usually more available than weekends, but give us a call, we do get cancellations now and then! Our busiest times are weekends, especially towards the end of the month.
Q: How do I reserve a moving date?
A: Contact us by phone to arrange your preferred date and time.
Q: Do I need to pack my television?
A: In most cases, we will cover televisions with furniture pads for protection. If you still have the original packing box that came with your television, this is always preferred.
Q: Can you move plants?
A: Depending on the size and whether they can be safely transported. States such as Florida and California are NOT open to inbound agricultural transport without a special permit.
Q: Do I need to be present during the entire move?
A: You, or a designated third party (friend, neighbor or family member), must be on hand when we first arrive at your origin and destination location. Please be sure to give us the name of this person in advance, to avoid misunderstandings and possible theft.
Q: Can I ride in the truck during the move?
A: We leave this decision up to the discretion of the driver, depending on available space and other factors. If you are permitted to ride along, you will be required to sign a Ride-Along Waiver.
